In 1973 the United States Congress passed one of the most important pieces of legislation in the history of the world.   After centuries of human development we finally decided that it was important to humanity and our survival to save species important to the health of the ecosystem.   According to the Endangered Species Coalition recent polling shows 84 percent of Americans support the Endangered Species Act, and 87 percent agree that it is a successful safety net for protecting wildlife, plants, insects, and fish from extinction.  If that is the case then what is happening in Washington DC is way out of line with what the American public wants to see happen.    After 45 years the Trump Administration wants to change it.

People across the country are speaking out against changing the Act that has largely delivered on its promise for nearly half-a-century.  USA Today states on its opinion page “now is not the time to let the vultures in Washington prey upon it.”   If you agree we encourage you to contact your representatives in Congress now while there is still time.  Let them know that you want to keep the Act as is and how important it is to you and your family.
